It can be performed as a stand-alone treatment for skin refresh and correction, or used as a post-microneedling enhancement to amplify results and improve overall skin quality, clarity and texture.

The Corrective Peel Protocol, applied to face, neck and decolletage, includes a specialised peel chosen by your Skin Expert based on your skins needs and your skin goals and is complimented by one of the refreshing, cooling and calming alginate masks.

The next level way to get maximum results from specific Pro Dermal Peels is through incorporating Advanced Peels into your skin journey through the recommendation of your Skin Expert. A Pro Dermal Advanced Peel, applied to face, neck and decolletage, is for skins that have previously had the Corrective Peel and are ready to step up into leave-on peels, chosen specifically for the needs of your skin and your skin goals.

Tailored to individual skins when you need or want next level skin rejuvenation and when you’ve been using O COSMEDICS homecare for at least 3 months. After carefully selecting two peels your Skin Expert will apply one after the other in the same treatment to the face, neck and decolletage to elevate your skin goals and pack a punch straight to the condition you want to correct.

Pre-Care Instructions for O Cosmedics Peels To achieve optimal results and ensure your skin’s safety, all clients are advised to prepare their skin with O Cosmedics products prior to their peel. At a minimum, this includes a gentle cleanser, a vitamin A (aka Retinol) or Vitamin C, hydrator, and an SPF for daily sun protection. We strongly recommend scheduling a consultation with your skin therapist to customise your pre-treatment regimen. They can assess your specific skin needs and may recommend additional products to help mitigate the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. For best outcomes, please consider booking a consultation beforehand. Please note that if your skin has not been prepped with O Cosmedics products, the only peel feasible is the Pomegranate or Pumpkin Enzyme Peel, which does not require prior preparation. Vitamin A | Retinol Use If you are using Vitamin A, Retinol, it is essential to cease usage at least three days prior to your peel. This step helps to minimise irritation and ensures your skin is adequately prepared for an effective treatment.

WHAT TO EXPECT POST TREATMENT Each person’s skin is unique, and so is their response to treatment. Your Skin Expert will guide you on what to expect based on the specific treatment you’ve received. It’s normal to experience some warmth or tingling immediately after your session, which typically subsides within a few hours. Peeling & Recovery – The extent of peeling (if any) and recovery time will vary depending on your skin condition and the chosen peel. Your skin may become hot, red, and peel significantly, or it might become slightly dry and flaky. In some cases, you may not notice any peeling at all. This process can last anywhere from 5 to 12 days, and the right home care can help accelerate recovery. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES • Home Care – Follow the guidance of your Skin Expert on the appropriate home care products to support your skin’s recovery and maintain long-term skin health. • Questions & Concerns – Don’t hesitate to ask your Skin Expert any questions regarding your treatment. If you have concerns during the recovery period, reach out for advice. ACTIVITIES TO AVOID • Within 5 Hours: Avoid cleansing your face or allowing it to come into contact with water. • Within 24 Hours: Refrain from exercising, attending heated yoga, using saunas or spas, taking hot showers, or doing anything that may cause you to overheat. • Within 5-10 Days: Stay out of direct sunlight. It’s mandatory to use Mineral Pro 30 or 50 sunscreen, reapplying every 2 hours, especially when outdoors. • Within 7 Days: Avoid using any exfoliating products, including AHAs, BHAs, retinoids, scrubs, or enzymes. • Within 14 Days: Do not undergo waxing, hair removal, IPL, laser treatments, or any other skin treatments on the treated area unless prescribed by your Skin Expert. CLIENTS SHOULD NOT • Pick, scratch, or peel your skin if flaking occurs during the recovery period. • Use harsh washcloths or face washers for 7 days; instead, use the O Skin Shammy. • Use any skincare products not prescribed by your Skin Expert.
