HIFU is a non-invasive treatment that utilises high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology for skin tightening on the face, neck, and body. This innovative procedure has an incredible ability to tighten the SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System) layer and the deeper dermal layers—something that is typically only achieved through surgical interventions, and reduce fat in areas where required, such as the double chin area.

Why is HIFU different to IPL or Radio Frequency skin tightening treatments?

HIFU creates micro-thermal coagulation zones in deeper layers of the dermis and also targets the SMAS which is the area plastic surgeons target during a facelift.  IPL and RF on the other hand, create bulk heating (not coagulation) of the dermal structure.

When applied to the body, HIFU can target areas with excess fat, cellulite and skin tightening.
