HIFU is a non-invasive treatment that utilises high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology for skin tightening on the face, neck, and body. This innovative procedure has an incredible ability to tighten the SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System) layer and the deeper dermal layers—something that is typically only achieved through surgical interventions, and reduce fat in areas where required, such as the double chin area.
For the face and neck, HIFU effectively tightens sagging skin along with the SMAS Layer and deep dermal tissues, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and enhances contour, leading to a lifted and rejuvenated look. It’s particularly effective for the jowls, brow lift, jawline and submental (under-chin) area.

Why is HIFU different to IPL or Radio Frequency skin tightening treatments?
HIFU creates micro-thermal coagulation zones in deeper layers of the dermis and also targets the SMAS which is the area plastic surgeons target during a facelift. IPL and RF on the other hand, create bulk heating (not coagulation) of the dermal structure.
When applied to the body, HIFU can target areas with excess fat, cellulite and skin tightening.
HIFU offers a non-surgical solution for permanent fat reduction by destroying fat cells without harming surrounding tissue, it helps achieve a more sculpted physique. Results can be seen over time as the body naturally eliminates the treated fat cells, providing a slimmer and tighter appearance.

Purpose & SuitabilityOur Dermaviduals Enzyme Facial is the same as a Level 2 Dermaviduals Facial, although we use enzymes and steam. Steam is not suitable for those with red and sensitised skin, however, we can still use Enzymes with water and gentle massage.
